I was admiring your art and stumbled into your tumblr. I really enjoyed all of your studies and processes! Then I saw your comment response to someone else:
"No no no no no! Don’t say that! I too thought “omg I could never do that” and all my backgrounds really sucked so I stopped trying (when I did do them, it was half-assed because I thought I couldn’t do it anyway) and that was the worst thing I could have done! This past year I decided that I’ll force myself to do it. That there is nothing essentially different about artists who I put up on a pedestal and myself except that I just haven’t gotten where they are yet. I’m still trying and learning and struggling. There’s sooo many things that make me feel like I can’t draw. UUUGGGH T-T I just gotta tackle them one by one.

And all I can say is thank you! I needed to read that. It's so hard facing insecurities as an artist and this was a good reminder.

Aww, I don't know what to say! I think it's important for artists to remind each other, and viewers, that this isn't magic we do. It's very difficult and we ALL struggle with building our technical skills and creativity. This struggle is a life-long process! The artists we look up to have artists they look up to and so forth. All artists see flaws in their work. You just gotta try really hard (and it's sooo hard!) not to tear yourself down and instead give yourself constructive criticism and keep it in mind for your next piece. ^_^
